Hexagram 59 -- DISPERSION

...into the air, and what seem'd corporal
melted, as breath into the wind.

(William Shakespeare, Macbeth)

Let go...is the invitation of the 59th hexagram. DISPERSION is an act of willing relinquishment, like unhanding a bouquet of balloons to the sky. Give it up ... let it go ... give it space.

There was a day several years ago...I was "up to here" with my habits, ruts, and pig-headedness. I turned to the I Ching in sheer frustration, demanding, "What is it that I'm supposed to let go of!?" The oracle's response was DISPERSION...with no changing lines! "Just let it all go!" was the unmistakeable message. I doubled over laughing.
